From West of D.C.

From Route 66 travel East toward D.C. and cross the Roosevelt Bridge at the Potomac River as you enter Washington D.C.
After crossing the Roosevelt Bridge, Route 66 will become Constitution Ave. Continue on Constitution for 2 miles. Just after 6th St. (where the National Gallery of Art will be on your right) you'll need to take a short jog to the left and then to the right to stay on Constitution. After a block or so take a left onto Louisiana Ave. at a stoplight near the Department of Labor.
Go a few blocks and turn left onto North Capitol St at a stoplight.
A little after a mile on North Capitol St. look for the signs for Rhode Island Ave. and right onto it.
After two miles take a left onto 28th St. (1-2 blocks after you cross the South Dakota Ave.)
Go to the end of 28th St, which comes to a "T" with Otis St. The Gift of Peace House is the large building in front of you. Take a short right onto Otis and then a left up the long driveway. Park to the right of the house and go in the front door. You may need to ring the bell.

From Route 495 (the Beltway) cross the Wilson Bridge from Virginia into Maryland and be in the right lane as you get to the other side of the bridge.
Take Exit 2 onto Route 295 North and go for 8 miles.
From Route 295 take the exit for Route 50 West/New York Ave West. (West is towards D.C., not Annapolis.) When you turn off Route 295 the exit will curve around to the right and you'll have to get on Kenilworth Ave. (Rt. 201) very briefly. Simply keep to the right (pass the sign for Tuxedo Rd) to continue right onto New York Avenue going West.
In less than 1 mile on New York Ave. turn right onto South Dakota Ave.
Within a mile take a right onto Rhode Island Ave.
From Rhode Island Ave. take a left onto 28th St., just a few blocks past South Dakota Ave.
